We’re Pedro, Lara, and Ana — three different personalities brought together by one shared belief: food is meant to be shared.
Based in Barcelona, ORYZA is a space where cooking classes become a way to connect — through technique, ingredients and shared moments around the table.
Pedro is the culinary mind behind ORYZA. A chef and cooking trainer with years of experience in gastronomy and education, he approaches rice with both passion and precision. He believes in technique — starting with a proper sofrito, respecting the product, understanding the process, and letting time do its work. His goal isn’t just that you cook a good rice — it’s that you understand why it works.
Lara is the soul of La Clandestina, the creative space that hosts many of our workshops in Barcelona. With a deep love for art, culture and community, she creates the atmosphere that makes each session feel intimate and welcoming — giving ORYZA a home with character.
Ana is the energy that keeps everything flowing. From preparation to organisation, she ensures that every detail is taken care of. Friendly, efficient and always present, she helps transform each workshop into a smooth and relaxed experience.
Together, we’ve created ORYZA as a space where quality ingredients, solid technique and human connection meet. Our cooking classes in Barcelona are designed to be professional but never pretentious, relaxed but never careless.
